Program description: Deb Cavanau8gh has been a performer and teacher for over 40 years. This music program, specially written to compliment the 2019 Summer Reading Program theme, A Universe of Stories, travels the known universe in songs from different cultures in those languages including creative movement and dance. Then, we will travel into space singing songs about stars and planets, returning to our own planet earth for a finale. Included in the program will be percussion instruments for the participants to play, traditional American instruments (mountain dulcimer and limberjack) and a crankie, a traditional American folk art. Space/special requirements: One armless chair and a table with access to an electric outlet.
