Program description: “Blast Off With Reading” is the latest creation science celebrity and National Geographic author Steve “The Dirtmeister” Tomecek. This high energy, interactive show is specially designed for family audiences and ties directly into the 2019 summer reading theme of “space”. The show features over a dozen dynamic demos exploring the scientific principles behind airplanes and rockets while also presenting some of the history of flight and space exploration. Following the program Steve will be available to meet and greet audience members and autograph copies of some of his bestselling books including Stars, What A Great Idea, Moon, and his latest National Geographic publication, Dirtmeister’s Nitty Gritty Planet Earth.
Space/special requirements: auditorium setting or outdoors weather permitting
