Program description: The Politics of Persuasion - Folk Music and the 1960's: During our recent times of political turmoil and indecision, one of the best ways to put life into perspective is to journey back into the 1960's and reevaluate the movement and the songs of the artists who broached the topics of the time. Join us as we watch clips and see such artists as Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Tom Paxton, Tom Rush, Donovan, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell and many many more. Come and be inspired by the music and investigate the invigorating feeling of taking control of one's own destiny. Along with the performances we'll also discuss the history of folk music and its importance in helping shape the America we live in today.
