Program description: “Nutrition Mission” is a forty-five minute musical program featuring a balanced portion of healthy, scientific facts plus a generous helping of music, humor and participation. The students love the Puffball-Snowball Fight, developed by a leading childhood expert and stories like “The Carrot Seed”. They also love seeing their parents or teachers on stage during the blues-inspired, “Five Fruits”. Plenty of audience interactivity make this show a five-star, can’t miss event! The main "ingredients" or themes are: 1. To find balance in our food choices 2. To eat five servings of fruits and vegetables per day 3. To drink more water 4. To participate in fun, healthy exercise (one hour/day) 5. To eat more locally grown foods 6. To limit snacks and sugary sweets & drinks 7. To eat more whole grains 8.
