Program description: | Did you ever see a UFO? Did the United States Government ever investigate the “flying saucer” phenomenon? What about the rumors about Roswell, or a recovered UFO and alien bodies in 1947? What are the general types of UFOs? Are they all discs? Are there aliens? What do they look like? Can life exist on other planets? This presentation is an attempt to answer some of these questions and perhaps to inform young adults about this popular culture subject. Originally created as part of the Summer Reading Program in 2015, or “Spark and Reaction” at Capital Region libraries, this presentation is intended to inform and entertain teenagers ages 13-18. Teachers or librarians can encourage further critical thinking on the subject and direct young adults to research this highly controversial subject. This presentation can be offered during Halloween, or “scary” Halloween parties or fun activities. |
