Program description: The World Beat Groove Project performs original music that blends African, Cuban, Caribbean and Brazilian folkloric rhythms and melodies with flute, saxophone, keyboard and marimba creating a contemporary fusion of styles driven by conga, timbales, djembe and other various ethnic percussion. We also offer an interactive program in which a brief history on each rhythm will be given as well as all the drum, shaker and bell parts to be played. Drums and percussion will be available for those who need them. No experience necessary. All ages welcome.
Space/special requirements: Folding chairs for each participant.
