Program description: Here's a unique and interesting program that will please your patrons as well as wet the apatite of Long Islanders curious to see how their beloved home is represented in the Hollywood of old. Utilizing clips from vintage Hollywood films I will give a detailed account of the West coasts view of the East coast. A Gold Coast mansion could either be the scene of a storm swept murder mystery or provide the perfect setting for a Marx Brothers comedy, but the exclusivity, beauty and wonder of Long Island will forever be captured in the heyday of tinsel town and the representations vary in interesting ways. Join us for this historical journey of cinema and seascape.
