Program description: STOMP! THE MUSIC ($450.00 per program) All materials included, 2 Hour program, kids take home instruments. Ages 8 - 12 with/without caregivers. Based on the long running Off Broadway STOMP phenom, Children will build a percussion ensemble from found and used everyday objects compose and perform original pieces. Participants will study percussion from around the world gather, design, adapt and build various original percussion instruments to create rhythms and compose orchestrations involving the use of percussion instruments. They will explore the following elements of music and dance: rhythm, beat, melody, harmony, timbre, genre, feeling, choreography, form, function, space, dynamics, tempo, improvisation and learn traditional orchestral practices, notation, and jargon.
