Program description: Class will focus on how to rebuild our earth with an easy weaving project that re-uses, re-purposes and recycles commonly discarded materials, such as junk mail, plastic bags, packaging wraps and more!. Easy weaving and knotting techniques on a cardboard loom will be taught for all age levels and ability. Participants will weave an earth conscious motto into their weaving. Finished pieces are ready for hanging on wall. Inspiring examples of weaving from diverse cultures will be shown and environmentally conscious practices will be discussed. Class is taught by award-winning artist/Board Member of the Long Island Craft Guild, art educator and passionate conservationist. Great for Earth Day and every day!
Space/special requirements: Extra table space for set up and materials.
Travel restrictions: I travel to Long Island and Queens only

Notes about the fee: Fee includes all materials and extensive preparation. If library is interested in scheduling a series of weaving and/or other classes, fee will be discounted.
