Program category: Music
Program length: 30 to 90 minutes

Program description: The Doghouse Carpenters are the Americana trio of Bill Ackerbauer, Bill Healy and Bob Zink. The group plays traditional American folk, vintage country, bluegrass and old-timey music on a mix of acoustic instruments, including upright bass, guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle and harmonica. The trio peppers its performances with good humor, stories about the origins of the songs and throws the occasional curveball by putting an old-timey spin on modern material. Specialized thematic programs with topics such as Train Songs and Spirituals are available. We are willing to tailor our performances to your needs and interests.
