Music
Program length: 45 - 90 minutes
Audience level: Adult
Audience size: 1 - 1000
Program description: Spook’s been to every American state except Hawaii, Michigan. And he’s met all kinds of people with all kinds of backgrounds – learning the history, values and culture of different groups of people. In this heartwarming, inspiring and sometime humorous concert Spook will share stories and songs he learned directly from Pete Seeger or indirectly from Woody Guthrie or his own songs about the places he’s been, people he’s met and the predicaments he’s found himself in. An excellent program for Libraries, Arts Centers, Churches, Schools and other meeting places. Visit www.spookhandy.com for more info on the artist and other programs and workshops.
Space/special requirements: One table - one armless chair
Travel restrictions:
Program fee: $501- $1000
Is this fee negotiable? Yes
Mileage included? Yes
Notes about the fee: Please don't think of the money as a fee but rather on supporting a cause you believe in - one that promotes good American values, community and participation. Block bookings save you money. Add-ons (i.e. your library as an add on concert during a tour) may also save you money. However, most people want to support the arts, the artist and the cause and pay what their budgets allow.
Other notes: This type of music helps build and strengthen community - especially in this day and age when people seem to be forgetting how to share a common experience.
