| Program description: | Author Visit/ The Writing Process Eve Feldman is an acclaimed author of fiction and non-fiction, including the recently released BILLY & MILLY, SHORT & SILLY, which has received starred reviews from both Kirkus and School Library Journal. Ms. Feldman's informative program includes both visual aids and large doses of humor as she shares the mysteries and the joys of the writing process. Topics covered include editing and rewriting, the often hilarious challenges of research, the book in all stages (rough draft, illustration sketches, f and g’s, galleys, final product) and the answer to the question “Where do writers get their ideas?” Presentations are adjusted according to age level, including puppets for the youngest students. All presentations include Q&A and cross-curriculum guides. $975/ full day |
| Space/special requirements: | Can be in a gym, auditorium, library or classroom setting at the discretion of the school. Only requirements are a large table and a sound system if the room is large. (I bring a wearable mike.) |

Ms. Feldman is a Harvard trained educator who has taught elementary school, ESL, remedial reading and reluctant readers. Her goal is to leave everyone enthusiastic and eager to read and write. |
