Program description: Pamela Schembri, professional storyteller and author of the easy-to-read series Second-Grade Friends (Holt)presents a fascinating and lively program which combines the writing process and its relationship to storytelling. If you can tell it, you can write it - and people understand this connection after listening to her speak. Using storyboards, journal excerpts and folktales, this is a great program to motivate young writers.
Space/special requirements: A screen, projector and a room which can be darkened. Attendees should be able to see the screen.

Other notes: Mileage included for local performances (up to 40 miles from Montgomery, NY). Standard state-aid reimbursable rates 50 cents/mile apply for performances outside the range. Pamela's performances are approved for BOCES Co-ser Arts in Ed Programs.
