Program description: Learn how to create beautiful jewelry from the wings of a butterfly! Delicate work involves cutting a small piece of wing, mounting it in a sterling silver plating, and covering it with waterproof apoxy. Necklaces, Rings, Bracelets, Charms, Earrings, Bookmarks, Table Weights. Pieces must dry overnight, and may be taken home by the participants or kept at the library for a 24 hour period. We will also discuss what types of butterflies we are using as well as their life-cycle. Please email me with Programs in the subject line with any questions and to be added to my live booking link and visual catalog. This program is suitable for the 2019 Summer reading program.
Space/special requirements: Tables, chairs, and a flat space to dry the pieces overnight if desired.

Notes about the fee: 10.00 per person, we can accommodate more or less depending on space.
Other notes: Mileage is charged by distance from Binghamton, NY. I generalize by $50 Binghamton area, $90 within 100 miles, and $150 within 200 miles. NYC and Long Island are $275. It is helpful to have other local libraries schedule together at greater distances, travel will be split between them.
