Nature- Environment Science |
| Program length: | 45- 60 minutes |
| Audience level: | Family |
| Audience size: | 20-100 |
| Program description: | We'll learn through songs some basic environmental facts and fun things to know. Like the fact that we are made up of mostly water, just like our planet. And what a habitat is, and what a water cycle is. We'll find out how everything is connected. We'll look at things we like that come from the earth, and maybe even play some instruments that are made of those things. We'll look a little differently at what gets called garbage, but can really be reduced, reused or recycled! |
| Space/special requirements: | open floor, chairs around the perimeter if possible, for those who don't want to sit on the floor. |
| Travel restrictions: | |
| Program fee: | $101- $200 |
| Is this fee negotiable? | Yes |
| Mileage included? | No |
| If no, cost per mile: | $0.48 |
| Notes about the fee: | I would like to keep it affordable, but will charge .48/mi for driving outside the Capital District. |
| Other notes: | I have spent many years learning, teaching, writing and playing songs about different aspects of the natural environment. I have a cd entitled Riverwalk and Other Songs that I recorded years ago that has some environmental songs on it. I consider this an extremely important subject for all of us to continually learn more about, and I think music is a way to make the learning easier and enjoyable. |
