Program description: Information and demonstration of the recreational and therapeutic benefits of the expressive arts, including visual arts, literary arts, music and movement. Interactive participation encouraged. A visual arts activity may include collage, followed by free writing or poetry and a music/movement piece to express what happened in the process of immersing into the art-making. An explanation of how using a multi-modal approach accesses different senses and expands the experience. This is a no-experience necessary program. no fear program. Music making may include hand-held percussion or stringed instruments.
