Program Information

Program name: Rock-a-Bye Baby: Lullabies for Little Ones
Program category: Life Skills- Parenting
Music
Program length: 40 minutes
Audience level: Family
Audience size: up to 20 infants with caregivers
Program description: These sessions are most appropriate for caregivers and their youngest babies, usually from birth to nine months, or prewalkers. Miss Dara begins each session with simple songs that encourage parent/infant interaction. After so much activity, babies and grownups alike are ready to settle down to some serious cuddling while they listen to Miss Dara sing traditional and modern lullabies to gentle guitar accompaniment. Parents will learn child development information before the songs so they can understand the value of these simple and loving musical interactions with their babies enough so they will want to continue singing at home.
