| Program description: | Chip Richter’s Young Songwriters Workshop is an exciting and fun journey through the craft of writing songs. Students will explore the four elements of song writing, the form and foundation of a song, and discover what makes a lyric work. Learning how to use hooks, rhymes, and words that sing, students will have the opportunity to begin writing their own songs right away. The students will listen to songs, sing songs, analyze and diagram songs, all in a very fun, interactive way. The Young Songwriters Workshop works well as a plug-in to your local school’s English and or Language Arts course study. Many teachers will use the Young Songwriters Workshop to culminate a section on journaling, poetry, or creative writing. In the end students will have lots of fun, discover the magic of words, and learn something about what's in a song and perhaps, what's in their heart. |
