Program description:   The Circus Kids Create is the most popular in-depth program under the Circus Minimus tent. In this artist-in-residence program a circus professional collaborates with 30-300 students, teachers, parents and artists to create a community-based circus in 2 weeks. The residency culminates with a Big Show, the purpose of which is to give every student and collaborator a moment in the sun. In collaboration with classroom teachers Circus Minimus develops various Integrated Curriculums the most popular being Circus Around the Globe. This program infuses core subjects (especially geography, history, language arts and culture) with the spirit of circus, making the whole experience an exciting touchstone for learning. Materials for this are often drawn from the CM Library, which includes over 100 age-appropriate books, learning tools, and instructional videos. Other recent Integrated Curriculum collaborations with other artists have resulted in school-hosted productions of Circus Poeticus, Circus Articus, The Peace Circus, and Circus Musicus in English and Spanish productions.
